What documents are needed for deposit certification

To certify a deposit you must prove two things: that the wallet it comes from is yours and at what price you bought the crypto-assets. You upload all the documents together after payment: if you take no action on the request for more than 30 days, we close it. The documents to upload depend on the origin of the deposit; in the app you find the exact list for each address, on the Prepare documents screen.

What we accept

We only accept official documents issued by the platform or service you used, such as:

  • CSV files with transaction history exported from the exchange;
  • exchange account statements;
  • purchase receipts or confirmations.

The CSV file with transaction history is always mandatory. We do not accept self-certifications. The steps to download CSV files from Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and other platforms are in Exporting transaction history from other platforms.

Ownership and purchase price

  • Wallets on other platforms: with the documents you prove both that the account is registered in your name and the purchase price. For ownership you need a profile screenshot, showing your personal details and the name or logo of the platform, and the account statement.
  • Personal wallets: you prove ownership with wallet verification (read How to verify non-custodial personal wallets); with the documents you prove the purchase price.

Mandatory and recommended documents

For each address the list distinguishes between:

  • mandatory documents: without these we cannot recognise the purchase price;
  • recommended documents: they are not essential, but they make verification simpler and faster.

Checking off a document in the list helps you keep track of what you have prepared, but it does not equate to verification by us: we check the documents after you have uploaded them.

A tip

The documents must allow us to reconstruct the path of your crypto-assets, from purchase to deposit on Young Platform. If you bought them on an exchange and then moved them to a personal wallet before depositing them, you need the purchase documents and those showing the transfers. It is best to prepare them before paying, so you can upload them right away.

If something is missing

If some data is missing from the documents, or if some documents are illegible or incorrect, we ask you for additional information. You can re-upload the documents at no extra cost. If even after the integration the documents are not enough, the deposit is recorded at €0.

How certification is closed and what the statuses of a deposit are is explained in What is deposit certification and why do it. The price paid for certification is non-refundable.
