How to select deposits to certify
You can choose deposits to certify one by one: you do not have to certify all of them, but when the certification closes, the deposits you have not selected permanently drop to 0 €. While you select, the summary updates with the number of deposits, their total value and the cost of the certification. What happens after payment is explained in What is deposit certification and why do it.
Before you start
- Check the wallets and accounts the deposits come from: read How to verify non-custodial personal wallets.
- Prepare your documents before paying: this way you can upload them right after payment. Read What documents are needed for deposit certification.
- The list contains all deposits from other platforms or wallets, including those of crypto-assets you have sold or transferred in the meantime: it is up to you to choose which ones to certify.
- You can have only one ongoing certification at a time: to start another one, you must wait for the current one to close. In the meantime, new deposits are added to a new list.
- The price paid for the certification is non-refundable.
Here is a summary of the steps to certify deposits:
- Open Taxes & Reports and tap Certify your deposits.
- In the Deposits tab you will find the list of deposits to certify. Use Filters to show only those from an address, a crypto-asset or a year, and Sort by to order them by value, address or year.
- Select the deposits to certify and check the summary.
- Check the final summary with the cost, any Club discount and the total. Read the warnings, confirm with the appropriate boxes and pay.
- After payment, upload the required documents for each address and, if we ask you to, any additional information.
- At the end of the check, the certification closes: certified deposits take the recognised purchase price, while unselected ones or those without documentation drop to 0 €.
Excluding a deposit
If you do not have the documents for a deposit, you can exclude it from the certification. The app warns you before confirming: the purchase price of that deposit is permanently recorded as 0 € and you will no longer be able to modify it.
