What happens to deposit certifications when you leave the administered regime

When you give up the administered regime you sign the Revocation Form and return to the declared tax regime. The fate of your deposit certifications depends on their status: completed ones remain saved, while an ongoing certification closes immediately and all its deposits are recorded with a purchase price of 0 €, permanently.

Before you start

If the certifications are completed

Recognised purchase prices and verified wallets remain saved. Under the declared tax regime Young Platform does not use them to calculate or withhold taxes: the tax return and payment are your responsibility again, but you can still view the data in Taxes & Reports.

If you return to the administered regime in the future, you will find the certified prices and verified wallets: you do not need to repeat the certification for those deposits.

If a certification is ongoing

It is best to complete it before giving up. If you give up while a certification is ongoing, the procedure closes immediately and all included deposits are recorded with a purchase price of 0 €, permanently: this also applies to deposits for which you had already uploaded documents. The app shows you a warning before confirmation.

If you subsequently return to the administered regime, you will find those deposits at 0 € and can no longer correct them. New deposits subsequent to your return are instead certified with a new procedure: read What is deposit certification and why do it.

If you reside abroad

You just need to sign the Revocation Form, without proving your tax residency abroad, and what is described above applies to certifications. When the exit takes effect is explained in How to revoke your subscription to the administered regime.
