This guide explains how to enable DeviceKey as your two-factor authentication (2FA) method for your Young Platform crypto account.
Before you begin
Please make sure you have:
- The Young Platform app updated to the latest available version.
- An active lock screen method on your phone (fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN).
- Your account phone number available to receive a verification SMS.
Activation steps (crypto account)
- Open the Young Platform app and go to your Profile section by tapping the icon at the top left.
- Go to Access and security.
- Select Two-factor authentication.
- From the available options, choose DeviceKey.
- Read the information page and tap the Enable DeviceKey button to proceed.
- Enter the security code you will receive via SMS.
- Authenticate the operation using Face ID, fingerprint, or your device PIN.
DeviceKey is now active. From this point on, you will use your phone's lock screen to authorise logins and transactions.
What happens to Google Authenticator
If you were using Google Authenticator as your 2FA method before enabling DeviceKey, you will not lose access. Google Authenticator will automatically be kept as a backup authentication method.
