For your steps to be counted correctly, Step must be connected to HealthKit for iOS devices or Google Fit for Android devices. The step count is only and exclusively done via these two apps.
From Step version 4.20.0 onwards, follow these instructions to reset the step count:
iOS devices
From the Health app > Profile > Apps > Step > enable all permissions.
Android Devices
Enable Google Fit and Movement from Step settings. If the connection with Google Fit is inactive, select the 'Enable feature' button to activate it.
Please note
- If you have other pedometer apps running on your Android device, you will need to disable them so that step counting is only carried out by Google Fit.
- Some Android smartphones require manual activation of the internal sensor.
- Android devices that do not support Google Services are not compatible with Step.
