You can withdraw your stablecoins from a Lending position at any time, either partially or for the full amount, with no duration constraints. The withdrawal is processed by the protocol according to its timing and available liquidity. Once completed, the stablecoins will be available again in your DeFi Wallet, along with the accrued rewards.
Before you start
- The withdrawal is a blockchain transaction: it involves a network fee, paid with the crypto set in Manage fees.
- A Young Platform service fee applies to the withdrawal, calculated on the accrued rewards and shown in the preview.
- The protocol's minimum amount applies, indicated below the figure you type. With MAX you withdraw everything and close the position.
- The withdrawal may not be immediate: it depends on the protocol. From the moment of the request, the outgoing funds no longer accrue any rewards.
Steps to withdraw from lending
- In the DeFi Wallet page, Lending section, tap the position you want to withdraw from. The detail page opens.
- Tap Withdraw funds, at the bottom left.
- Read the Lending Withdrawal notice and tap Confirm. If you don't want to see it again, check Don't show this message again.
- Type the amount to withdraw, or use MAX or the quick percentages (10%, 20%, 50%, 75%).
- Tap Order preview and check: cryptocurrency, network, protocol, amount, Young Platform fees, network fees and the origin of the withdrawal (the protocol vault).
- Tap Confirm order and authorise with Face ID or fingerprint.
Upon completion, the stablecoins are in the available balance of the DeFi Wallet. If the protocol does not make them available immediately, the withdrawal remains in progress: you can see it on the wallet page, under transactions, and on the position card with the estimated time. Read the guide: Operations in progress on the DeFi Wallet.
Withdrawal times by protocol
Each protocol manages liquidity differently, and this changes the time it takes for funds to become available:
- Aave: withdrawal is generally immediate. In times of high demand, when many users withdraw at once, it may slow down until the pool becomes liquid again.
- Morpho: withdrawal depends on the liquidity of the markets where the curator has deployed the vault's funds. It is generally fast, but may require some waiting.
- Maple: normally liquidity is immediate; in rare cases it may take about 24 hours, with a maximum of 30 days, because funds are lent to maturity. During the wait, your funds continue to accrue rewards.
Details are in the Technical Sheet of each protocol, on its page. For the risks associated with Lending positions, consult the Risk Disclosure.
