If you already have an open position on a protocol, you can increase it at any time by depositing more stablecoins of the same type. The new funds will be added to the capital already allocated and will immediately start accruing rewards along with the rest of the position, based on the protocol's current APY.
Before you start
- Make sure you have stablecoins of the same crypto as the position (USDC, USDT or EURC) in the available balance of your DeFi Wallet. If you don't have any, the app will allow you to buy them: see How to add USDC and EURC to the DeFi Wallet. As for USDT, since it is not directly supported by Young Platform, you will need to swap another cryptocurrency already in your wallet or deposit it from an external wallet.
- Depositing is a transaction on the blockchain, so it involves a network fee.
- The protocol's minimum amount applies, which is shown below the figure you type.
Steps to add capital to lending
- On the DeFi Wallet page, in the Lending section, tap the position you want to add funds to. The detail page opens showing the balance, allocated capital, rewards and transactions.
- Tap Add funds, at the bottom right. If you have no stablecoins available, an Insufficient balance alert appears with a button to buy them.
- Type the amount to add, or use MAX or the quick percentages (10%, 20%, 50%, 75%). Below the figure you will see the minimum amount and the available balance.
- Tap Order preview and check: cryptocurrency, network, protocol, average APY, amount, network fees and the destination (the protocol vault).
- Tap Confirm order and authorise with Face ID or fingerprint.
On the position page, the allocated capital is updated and the deposit appears among the transactions.
The added capital remains exposed to protocol risks: before proceeding, please consult the Risk Disclosure.
