On Young Platform Base, you buy crypto directly from Young Platform, which is your direct counterparty. This guide explains step by step how a purchase works, including the new firm price mechanism introduced with the MiCA adjustment.
Buying cryptocurrencies from the APP
From the Home screen:
- go to the Crypto section and tap “Buy”.
- Select the crypto you want to buy.
- Enter the amount of crypto you want to buy, or the amount in EUR you want to spend.
- View the order preview: the “firm quote” price. Young Platform shows you a price guaranteed for 5 seconds. This is called a firm quote: a “locked price,” meaning that if you accept it within that time, Young Platform is obliged to honor it. The price shown comes from the Pricing Engine: an automatic system that looks at crypto prices on the main global markets and adds a margin (the spread) to lock it in and guarantee it for you. The calculation rules are predefined and public: no human operator decides case by case how much you’ll pay.
- Check the final total price. Before confirming, check the final total price, fees included — that is, how much the transaction will actually cost you.
- Confirm within the time limit. If you accept within 5 seconds (or 30, depending on the payment method), the transaction is complete: your euros leave your account and the crypto you purchased enters your wallet immediately. If you don’t confirm in time, the price expires and a new quote is generated, updated to reflect the market at that moment.
Buying cryptocurrencies from Web
From the web platform:
- Click “Buy” from the trading panel.
- Select the cryptocurrency you want to buy.
- Enter the amount. Make sure you’ve met the minimum purchasable amount — check the table at the bottom of this page (https://exchange.youngplatform.com/fees).
- Click “Preview purchase”. Young Platform shows you a price guaranteed for 5 seconds. You can view the transaction by clicking “Crypto” > Wallet and scrolling down to “recent transactions”.
How fees are calculated
The amount you enter always represents the gross value you intend to spend, and the fee is deducted from the amount entered.
What the spread is
In addition to the fee, the price you see already includes the spread: a margin, which the platform applies to that reference value. When the User buys, the Spread is added to the reference value: the purchase price is therefore higher than that value. When the User sells, the Spread is deducted from the reference value: the sale price is therefore lower than that value. In both cases the Spread is already included in the price the User sees before confirming the order and is not charged to the User separately. The size of the Spread varies according to the characteristics of the crypto-asset — in particular its market capitalisation and liquidity — as well as market conditions and volatility at the time of quotation.
