The Profit & Loss section within Analytics lets you monitor your portfolio performance in detail on Young Platform. Thanks to updated charts, aggregated data and dynamic filters, you can get a complete overview of how your cryptocurrencies are performing, both in terms of current value and historical return.
Data display
You can view:
- The total balance: the sum of all crypto wallets, expressed in euros.
- The breakdown by individual wallet: Main, Moneybox, Staking.
- Performance in absolute value (EUR) or as a percentage (%).
Statistics and data updates
Profits and losses are updated every hour. The time of the last update is visible under the heading "Profit & Loss - last 24 hours".
The main chart shows the daily trend of profits and losses, calculated as the total return of your investment portfolio, in percentage and in euros. This value reflects the overall portfolio performance, taking into account:
- Variations in asset value
- Realised profits
- Unrealised profits
Unrealised Profit
It represents the growth or decrease in value of the cryptocurrencies you own, calculated on the difference between the average purchase or deposit price and the current price.
It is a value not yet realised: it estimates how much you could gain or lose if you decided to sell at that moment.
Crypto-to-crypto conversions do not generate a realised profit, unless the destination crypto is a stablecoin pegged to a fiat currency (such as USDC). In that case, the conversion is considered equivalent to a sale, and therefore the profit or loss is realised.
Realised profit
It indicates the gain obtained when a cryptocurrency is sold or withdrawn, compared to the average purchase price.
It is calculated based on the difference between the sale/withdrawal price and the average price, also taking into account fees, which are valued as a loss.
Crypto-crypto conversions are not considered sales and do not generate realised profit, except in cases where the crypto received is a stablecoin.
How the average price works
The average price is calculated using a weighted average: every time you buy a cryptocurrency, the system updates the average value taking into account how much you spent in total and the amount of crypto you own.
When you sell or withdraw, the average price does not change: it is used to calculate realised profit or loss.
If you move a cryptocurrency from one wallet to another (e.g. from Moneybox to Staking), the average price moves along with the crypto: this way, calculations remain correct even after the transfer.
Breakdown by feature
At the bottom of the Analytics section you can view the profit and loss breakdown for the features used:
- Main Wallet
- Moneybox (which includes recurring purchases)
- Staking
You can change the analysis period by clicking on the relevant icons: last week, month, year or since the beginning of your activity on Young Platform.
"Volumes" section
This section shows the total activity carried out in the selected period, including:
- Deposits
- Withdrawals
- Buy, sell or crypto-crypto conversion orders
You can select the month to analyse and filter data by transaction category, which will be displayed in the corresponding chart.
Cryptocurrency allocation
The pie chart shows the percentage distribution of your portfolio among the various cryptocurrencies you own.
Each segment represents a crypto and its proportion of the total. This visual aid helps you to:
- Identify which cryptocurrencies have a significant weight in the portfolio
- Analyse which cryptos have generated gains or losses
You can use the Top Profit and Top Loss tags to highlight the cryptos with the best and worst performance.
"Transactions" section
The Transactions section offers a detailed overview of all activities carried out in your portfolio, broken down by type and volume:
- Number of orders executed (purchases, sales, swaps)
- Total volume of operations
This information lets you precisely monitor your activity level and portfolio turnover in the selected period.
Balance distribution
The chart shows how capital is allocated among the various strategies available on Young Platform. Each segment represents a specific strategy (e.g. Moneybox, Staking) and highlights its impact on the total balance.
This tool is useful for:
- Analysing portfolio composition
- Managing risk diversification
- Evaluating the returns associated with each strategy
Asset type allocation
Scrolling down to the next chart, you can view balance distribution by asset type, broken down into:
- Euro (fiat currency)
- Cryptocurrencies
- Stablecoins
Stablecoins are crypto-assets that aim to maintain a stable value relative to a fiat currency (generally euros or dollars). Their value may still deviate from that of the reference currency and they remain subject to the typical risks of crypto-assets. For this reason they are represented separately in the chart.
This section allows a clear assessment of the balance between volatile assets and assets aiming for a stable value within the portfolio.
