The Profit and Loss (P&L) feature allows you to evaluate the performance of your crypto portfolio. Here is how to make the most of it:
- Total balance: monitor whether your portfolio is in profit or loss, and by how much. The data includes both realised and unrealised profits/losses, already net of fees.
- Cryptocurrency analysis: identify which cryptocurrencies contribute most to profits or losses. With the chart, evaluate the degree of diversification.
- Portfolio distribution: examine the distribution of your capital between fiat, crypto and stablecoins to understand risk exposure.
- Strategy performance: evaluate the results of your buying/selling strategies (Spot and Moneyboxes).

Feature details
- Profits and losses: unrealised profits or losses are the difference between the purchase price and the current value of your cryptocurrencies. Realised ones are actual profits or losses, which are generated when you sell or withdraw cryptocurrencies, or when you convert them into a stablecoin.
- Strategy breakdown: view potential profits distributed between Spot and Moneyboxes.
- Volume analysis: check volumes by tracking deposits, withdrawals and transactions. Customise the view by month and transaction type.
- Crypto allocation: a percentage chart shows how cryptocurrencies are distributed in your portfolio.
- Transactions: summarises total transaction volumes in the selected period.
- Balance distribution: shows how capital is allocated across different strategies. Each segment represents a strategy, making it easier to analyse diversification and risk.
- Portfolio diversification: a chart shows the breakdown between euros, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins to assess portfolio stability and volatility.
Important definitions
- Unrealised Profit: gain or loss calculated as the difference between the purchase price and current value. Example: You buy 0.5 BTC at 15,000 EUR and it is now worth 17,500 EUR, unrealised profit of 2,500 EUR.
- Realised profit: actual gain after sale/conversion. Example: You sell 0.5 BTC at 17,500 EUR, realised profit of 2,500 EUR.
- Purchase price: cost incurred to buy cryptocurrencies, considering only those bought via the platform.
- Average price: calculated using a weighted average, taking all purchases and deposits into account.
Additional notes
The P&L feature is available on basic Young Platform (web and app). If you also use Young Platform Pro, the Pro portfolios of the same cryptos available on the basic version are considered for the P&L calculation. Cryptos available only on Pro are still considered in all Profit and Loss analyses, data and charts. Orders on Young Platform Pro affect charts only at the time of execution.
